Pivot Table & National Volunteering Month

April is National Volunteering Month, so let’s celebrate!  What better way is there to celebrate than to honor those who devote themselves to their communities while simultaneously mastering a pivot table?  That’s right – you heard me!

A pivot table is an incredibly beautiful tool, which among its many uses, can recognize and honor volunteerism.  Still skeptical?  Check this out!

First, before we even begin, what is a pivot table and does it really deserve that much praise?    A pivot table is a special type of data table that can be easily pivoted or rearranged to see the data and relationships in various angles.  What’s more – it can tally numbers up, calculate averages, count, help you see patterns, and more – all without a single formula.

Now, just how does this pivot table recognize volunteerism?

Feel free to check out our video above that will shed light on this question along with share the basics of a pivot table. Let’s discover how to create pivot tables and change fields.
