Spreadsheets can generate date and time data, which are useful when tracking tasks, resolutions, or priorities; managing deadlines; and organizing calendar-based events. We’ll introduce a few of these functions and their applications in our post and video below!
Common date and time functions include the following:
- now and today do not require any arguments and return date & time info from your computer screen
- month, day, hour, minute returns the respective month, day, hour, and minute of a referenced date
- eomonth returns the end of a month occurring a specified number of months from the start date
- weekday returns the day of a week for a given date
