Caveats

Whereas the majority of my spreadsheet frameworks and apps can be used interchangeably among spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheet), this currency exchange rate calculator as currently set up can be done on Google Spreadsheet. The key function, GoogleFinance, retrieves information from GoogleFinance and is unique to Google Spreadsheets.

A second caveat is that this spreadsheet app will only work if you have Internet connection. In addition, data quotes from GoogleFinance can be delayed up to 20 minutes.
